It was a day long hunger strike for popular actor Sharan at Belavangala supporting the farmers and drinking water issue of the northern Karnataka region.


Sharan was on hunger strike with thousands of farmers who are on strike for last 20 days. After saluting Rani Channamma statue Sharan addressed on the problems of the farmers. The century plus films actor Sharan also hails from the northern Karnataka region.

Recently on the ‘Kalas Banduri’ the Kannada film industry supported state interest on water sharing in Mahadayi river project.
